Are you interested in helping youth with behavioral and/or emotional challenges that are assessed to benefit from out-of-home placement? Consider becoming a Resource Parent and providing care in your home. You will receive training, support, and a generous stipend. Teams of professionals support the youth, the family of origin, and you as the Resource Family.
We are seeking full-time and respite (relief) Resource Parents. This is a great opportunity for a rewarding experience providing intense support and care to a child between the ages 5-18. With assistance and 24-hour support from program staff, you will be able to give this child new life experiences in a loving environment. Your guidance will help them develop positive coping skills and reinforce newly learned behaviors.
The REACH Program provides a 10-week pre-service training for this position. Additionally, fingerprinting, a state central registry clearance, and other forms will be completed with the assistance of the recruitment/training specialist. Your home must meet state identified criteria.
We encourage a team approach to working with the child and family and our ultimate goal is to strengthen the family unit and reunite the child and family whenever possible. If you would like to learn more about becoming a Resource Parent, please contact the REACH Family-Based Treatment Program at (607) 937-4518.
